In August, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 87 thousand units and 85 thousand units respectively, decreasing 12.1% and 15.8% year on year. To be specific, the production and sales of BEV reached 74 thousand units and 69 thousand units, increasing 2.2% in production while decreasing 6.0% in sales year on year; such figures for PHEV were 14 thousand units and 16 thousand units, decreasing 49.8% and 41.3% year on year.
For the first eight months, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 799 thousand units and 793 thousand units, increasing 31.6% and 32.0% year on year. To be specific, the production and sales of BEV reached 643 thousand units and 629 thousand units, increasing 41.4% and 40.8% year on year; such figures for PHEV were 155 thousand units and 163 thousand units, increasing 1.6% and 5.7% year on year; and for FCVs were 1,194 units and 1,125 units, increasing 7.0 times and 7.3 times year on year.
