In March, the motorcycles were slightly higher than that of last month, but lower than a year earlier, better than the first two months. This month, the production and sales reached 1,427,000 and 1,428,000 units, up 73.5% and 71.7% than that of last month. Comparing with last March, the production and sales were down 0.3% and 0.9%. To be specific, the production and sales of two-wheeled reached 1,253,000 and 1,257,000 units, down 0.8% and 1% year on year. The production and sales of three-wheeled were 174,000 units and 171,000 units, up 3.8% and 0.4% year on year.
For the first quarter, the accumulated production and sales of motorcycles reached 3,498,000 and 3,533,000 units respectively, down 9.1% and 9% from the previous year. The decrease rate narrowed 5.2 percentage points and 4.8 percentage points comparing with the first two months.
