In June, the motorcycles witnessed decline both monthly and yearly. This month, the production and sales reached 1,358,000 and 1,372,000 units, down 5.7% and 3.8% than that of last month. Comparing with last June, the production and sales were down 13.8% and 12.9%, affected by the higher base of last year. To be specific, the production and sales of two-wheeled reached 1,240,000 and 1,251,000 units, down 12.6% and 11.6% year on year. The production and sales of three-wheeled were 119,000 units and 121,000 units, down 25% and 24% year on year.
For the first six months, the accumulated production and sales of motorcycles reached 8,016,000 and 8,022,000 units respectively, down 5.4% and 5.6% from the previous year. The decrease rates enlarged 1.9 percentage points and 1.7 percentage points comparing with the first five months, and enlarged 4.1 percentage points and 3.5 percentage points comparing with the first three months.
