In April, the motorcycles witnessed decline both monthly and yearly. This month, the production and sales reached 1,377,000 and 1,350,000 units, down 3.5% and 6% than that of last month. Comparing with last April, the production and sales were down 7.8% and 8.2%. The decrease rates enlarged 2.6 percentage points and 2.5 percentage points. To be specific, the production and sales of two-wheeled reached 1,232,000 and 1,218,000 units, down 3.9% and 3.2% year on year. The production and sales of three-wheeled were 145,000 units and 132,000 units, down 31% and 37.8% year on year.
For the first four months, the accumulated production and sales of motorcycles reached 5,214,000 and 5,223,000 units respectively, down 3.1% and 3.7% from the previous year. The decrease rates enlarged 1.8 percentage points and 1.7 percentage points comparing with the first three months.
