With the vigorous development and the continuous upgrade of the status in the national economy of China automotive industry, China has been gradually forging ahead into the industrial power from the production giant, which not only providing the China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM) with the a broader development stage but also raising more requirements for it at a higher level.
        In order to satisfy the requirements for the development of the industry, China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM) has formulated its lines of thinking in work, development goal and key tasks under the new situation, that is, based on the principles of “Change the Ideas and Clarity the Stand, Dare to Innovate and Seek for Truth, Enhance the Quality and Upgrade the Quality and Level”, efforts will be made to forge China Association of Automotive Industry” (CAAM) into an important power with Chinese characteristics, which should also accord with the actual demands of the industry. Furthermore, with the development goal of building CAAM into a national class and world-famous industry association in 5 to 10 years, it can be expected that China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM) will, in status and role, adapt itself to the status of China automotive industry in the national economy as well as in the world automotive industry, and satisfy the requirements raised from the economy development and government reform in our country.
        CAAM will strengthen the relationship with the government departments at all levels and the related up- and down- stream organizations engaged in financial,energy,traffic or raw material fields to create a relaxed policy and social environments for the development of the industry. Moreover, attempts will be made to establish close strategic partnership with the automobile industry related organizations to provide a powerful omni-dimensional support together from such aspects as policy study, technical innovation and public opinion for the development in the industry, based on their own advantages and the combined strength. And strength will be used to increase the industry’s cohesion and bring the integrated advantage into play by enhancing internal coordination and service in the industry and gaining success in all self-discipline efforts. Furthermore, in order to improve the comprehensive quality and service level of CAAM, CAAM will push forward vigorously the internal system reform in the
association and forge a high-quality talent team brimming with vigor.
        Featuring the highest level of internationalization today, only if it communicates with those engaged in the same trade in the world, can the automotive industry obtain development and win-win. It is one of the important development strategies of China automotive industry to implement the complete integration of technology and capital with the global automobile industry by expanding foreign exchange and cooperation and carrying out the development strategy of “Bringing In” and “Going Global”. Therefore, CAAM will take a positive openingup attitude to participate in various international activities and strengthen the link with the trade organizations of other countries (regions) around the world in multiple communication and cooperation forms such as mutual visitation and communication, cooperation and negotiation , and exhibition and promotion.
        It is not only the dream of all Chinese people but also the duty and mission of every one in China automotive industry to be a great power in the global automotive industry. China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM) is a trade organization performing a service for all automotive industry-related enterprises including overseas-funded companies. It needs understanding and supports from the related government departments and the whole society as well as the active participation and full support from the whole industry. Regarding the revitalization of automotive industry as its duty and the dream of growing to be a great power in the world automobile industry as its mission, China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM) will bring his mission to success with concern and attention from various circles of society and the generous support from the whole industry.
