        It involves follow-up analysis of industry economic operation,research on enterprise reform,technological progress and assets reorganization, suggestions on the government’s preparation of Automotive industry development planning, policy, and laws and regulations, as well as tracking study of the implementation of policies and regulations, and
reflection of aspiration and demand of the Automotive industry and enterprises to the government.
 

Preparation of Standards
        It relates to the organization of formulation and revision of the national standards, industry standards and technical regulations for the automotive industry, execution of the national policies and regulations on standardization, and propaganda and implementation of technical standards, as well as suggestions on the above.

Information Service
        Within the limits of the law, China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM) carries out statistics, collection and sort-out of industry technology and economic information to keep track of the trends in market and technology at home and abroad. In addition,it provides information service for enterprises, government departments and society through multiple approaches such as information release conference, websites and publications.

Consulting Service and Project Demonstration
        With advantages such as expert resource and industry authority brought into full play, China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM) provides member units and local governments at all levels with consulting services including marketsurvey,preparation of strategic planning and implementation of internationalized operation, etc.. Also, it participates in the demonstration and review of international projects and products, and launches the qualification assessment of automotive production and circulation enterprises under the entrustment by the government departments and the related agencies.

Trade Dispute Investigation and Coordination
        CAAM is responsible for organization and coordination of handling responseto litigation for enterprises in automotive industry suffering foreign investigation on their anti-dumping, countervailing and safeguards.Also, it shoulders responsibilities for automotive industry injury survey, coordinating with the government to establish the industry injury early warning mechanism.
