China automobile sales increase 8.16% in July 2012

According to statistics and analysis of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM)，China automobile sales were 1,379,400 units in July, decrease 12.56% compared with last month, and increase 8.16% compared with the same period of last year. Among main automobile categories, passenger car sales was 1,120,200 units, decrease 12.77% compared with last month, and up 10.71 percents year on year; the sales of commercial vehicle was up to 259,200 units, lower than the previous 11.65 percent, and down 1.63 percents year on year.
        From January to July, Chinese auto sales exceeded 10,979,400 units, an increase of 3.56 percent from a year earlier. Passenger car sales increase 7.53 percent year on year to about 8,735,100 units; commercial vehicle sales exceeded 2,244,300 units, a decrease of 9.43 percents from a year earlier.
