China automobile sales decrease 26.39% in January 2012

According to statistics and analysis of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM)，China automobile sales were 1,389,800 units in January, decrease 17.75% compared with last month, and decrease 26.39% compared with the same period of last year. Among main automobile categories, passenger car sales was 1,160,600 units, lower than the previous 15.22%, and down 23.81 percent year on year; the sales of commercial vehicle was 229,200 units, lower than the previous 28.54 percent, and down 37.16 percent year on year.
